Optical disk systems require green light sources to realize high-density recording. Frequency conversion of laser-diode pumped all solid-state lasers with periodically polednon-linear crystals (such as LiNbO3 [1], LiTaO3 [2], KTiOPO4 [3], KTiOAsO4 [4] andRbTiOAsO4 [5]) into the visible andUV spectral regions is a widely investigatedresearch eld. The quasi-phase-matching frequency-doubler of periodically poled crystals permits access to the highest nonlinear coecient, which is the d33 coecient in the crystals mentionedabove, andavoids any walk-o_ problems because parallel polarizations along the main crystal-axis are used.
