Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, operation sequence and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. Provide engineering process development in support of foundry projects.
Candidate will be responsible for JDSU VCSEL Array products under JDSU active components product engineering department.
As a product engineer, he/she will be working on product specifications, performances, quality, cost reduction roadmap, provide & owner cost model, and coordinate engineering efforts on products across different operation/engineering teams and
also product disposition. Responsibilities also include new product introduction support, CM (contract manufacturer) technical management and technology transfer from other facilities.
Product engineer will also support marketing and customers as technical contact window.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree or above, major on optoelectronics, optics or physics.
Prefer to have more than five years working experiences on optoelectronic devices, or fiber optics communication industries. Candidate shall be fluent in both Chinese and English, and have good communications skills.

2. R&D Process Engineer
Responsibilities:
Responsible for development of manufacturing processes for photonic power components and modules.
This position will report to Shenzhen Photonic Power R&D Manager.
Work with JDSu contract manufacturer to develop low-cost high-yield assembly processes.
Assembly processes include: die attach, wirebonding, sealing, welding, soldering, alignment, epoxy.
Define assembly process flow, perform Design of Experiments (DOE), write process validation reports, write Work Intructions, train operators, determine process capability (CpK), define quality control plans.
Responsibilities:
Bachelor degree or above, major in physics or engineering.
3 years minimum industry experience in fiber-optics industry, with process engineering experience.

3. R&D Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the physical design for transmission components;
Layouts, designs, assembly drawings as required for product design;
Perform tolerance simulation/analysis for optomechanical structure over temperature;
Fixture/tooling development and improvement for NPI/production transfer
Select and interact with vendors for high performance and low cost solution;
Required Qualifications
BS/MS in mechanical engineering with over 3 years experience in optical communication industry;
Experienced in optomechanical design for active optical component/assemblies;
Familiar with mechanical CAD tool such as Solidworks or ProE;
Familiar with component packaging process, e.g. die/wire bonding, epoxying, hermetic sealing etc;
Experienced in material selection/specifications;
Proficient in thermal simulation/analysis;
Good teamwork and customer-oriented;
Good command of English in reading and written.
4. RF Design Engineer:
Job description
Responsible for the successful design and characterization of high-speed optical transmission components;
2D/3D high frequency simulation and design of multilayer substrates as required for product design;
Analysis and improvement of RF performance for high-speed transmission components during the development phase;
RF measurement tools and methodologies development as required for product test development;
Requirements
BS/MS in electronics, communication engineering or related discipline;
Good understanding in electromagnetic theory and analysis;
Experience of using commercial electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS;
Familiar with high speed test and measurement equipments;
Good teamwork and customer-oriented;
Good command of English in reading and written.
5.Document Control Specialist
• Controls all Procedures, Work Instructions and document•
• Process the Change Controls, this includes the preparation and/or validation of the change requests, insuring the appropriate functional reviews and sign-off, and maintaining the records of the changes, releases
documents, and notifies affected departments.
• Assigning documentation and/or part/program numbers as
applicable, device history, linkages, records, and issuance of
Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ensures that proper procedures are being followed when
changes, additions and deletions are made to BOM, drawings,
documents, records.
• Maintains an established data distribution system and
expedites review, signature approval and release of documentation in a timely manner.
• Looks for ways to improve the process.
• Confers with engineers, managers, and other internal functional teams to prepare documents and change requests.
• Works with document originators to resolve discrepancies in order to make
required changes to the documentation.
• Manage and maintain active, inactive, and obsolete items which
support the documentation system.
• Act as gate to ensure all RoHS documents are available prior
to Change Process Initiation, and communicate with Change Initiator
on requirements.
• Maintain master document list
• Manage Product Deviation/Waiver documents/records, tracking of due dates so that internal procedures are followed.
• Supports Continual Improvement process of global
document control and QMS to meet internal procedure, customer, and
ISO requirements.
• Report Key Performance Indexes to management.
• Support user training to change initiators, approvers as needed
Minimum Education:
Technical Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree above
• 5 years experience and specialized knowledge in
Engineering and Documentation Control System and working
knowledge of Agile Document Control System.
• Special Skills: Must be detail oriented.
Ability to read technical drawings/prints and solid technical writing skills.
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Ability to write or help write procedures and work instructions.
