New Features

Imported CAD format objects now ray trace dramatically faster. Some IGES and
STEP files trace 10 times faster than earlier versions of ZEMAX.

The CAD export feature now supports export of IGES, STEP, and SAT objects previously
imported using the NSC Imported Object type.

The NSC Source Two Angle now supports an elliptical angular distribution mode.

Multi-Configuration operand NPRO has been added to control various NSC object
properties.

The NSC Detector Viewer now uses the left and right arrow keys to scan through
the Z planes on detector volumes.

The Huygens MTF, Through-Focus MTF, and MTF surface now all support computation
across multiple configurations.

The Tangential Apodization has been renamed Cosine Cubed apodization for clarity.

The text versions of the various MTF and Field Curvature and Distortion features
now use tabs to ease pasting to Excel.

The glass compare feature now lists the standard, preferred, obsolete, special,
or melt status of glasses. The feature also now selects the closest glass giving
preference to preferred and standard glasses over obsolete ones.

A switch has been added to the surface type tab to prevent surfaces from becoming
hyperhemispheric. The switch is automatically set on ghost focus analysis generated
surfaces.

The test plate fitting routine now lists a % done indicator.

The various layout settings dialog boxes have been revised for better clarity.

The Geometric Encircled Energy, Diffraction Encircled Energy, Line/Edge Spread,
and Extended Source Encircled Energy analysis features now support a setting
to do the computation at any surface.

The Geometric and Diffraction MTF vs. Field plots now support up to 6 spatial
frequencies at once and allow optional disabling of the scaling by the diffraction
limit.

The Report Graphic analysis windows list has been reorganized to follow the same
structure as the analysis menu.

Optimization operands GENF and XENF have been added to compute the fraction of
encircled, ensquared, or enslitted energy using the geometric or extended source
analysis features. These operands are the compliment to GENC and XENC.

New optimization operand TOLR optimizes the estimated change in performance based
upon the tolerance sensitivity analysis. This operand can be used to optimize
the sensitivity to tolerances using any tolerance criteria and operands supported
by the tolerance analysis.

A new radial grating surface has been added. This is an even aspheric substrate
with an odd polynomial defining a concentric grating spacing.

A new biconic Zernike with aspheric deformations surface has been added.

The new sequential Retro-Reflect surface, when made a mirror, reflects rays not
according to Snell's law but back along the incident direction.

The atmospheric refraction surface now works in relative or absolute units of
angular deviation.

Macros may now be assigned to buttons for quick access.

ZPL keyword GETZERNIKE now supports annular Zernikes.

ZPL function GLCM returns global orientation matrix coordinates for any surface.

New ZPL macro command OPEV returns the value of any optimization operand without
the need to place the operand in the merit function first.

ZPL keyword SETSURFACEPROPERTY has been expanded to set POP related surface settings.

Enhancements were made to the ZPL SOLVETYPE keyword functionality.

ZPL keyword RANDOMIZE added to seed the random number generator.

Improvements to the CAD file export feature have been made.

Many important improvements to the ISO drawing feature have been made, including
editable effective diameters and tolerances, automatic surface decenter, rms,
and irregularity tolerances, better index reporting for non-visible band glasses,
and generally closer adherence to the ISO standard.

The "Reverse Element" feature has been improved to support a wider range of systems,
including those with mirrors and coordinate breaks.

A new updated definition of Germanium has been added based upon data in the Handbook
of Optical Constants of Solids. The existing Germanium data was renamed GE_OLD.
       
A new simpler glass catalog selection user interface has been implemented.

The maximum number of user defined aperture (UDA) segments is now 500. ZEMAX
now automatically uses lower resolution entities if the maximum number of segments
is exceeded.

The UDA RECT and LIN commands now optionally uses a user defined number of segments
to better follow the contours of arbitrary surface shapes.

Copy and Pasting of Grid Sag, Grid Phase, and User Defined surfaces is now supported.

Hundreds of improvements have been made to the manual, including numerous clarifications,
better cross-referencing, indexing, and sorting of surface types alphabetically.

Some improvements to the POP routine for very large F/# beams have been added.

Many changes and additions have been made to the stock lens, test plate, and
glass catalogs.

Bug Fixes

The maximum file name length for POP ZBF files was limited to 110 characters;
this limit has been removed.

The Multi-config editor tool to "Add all data" was resetting the settings options
on all open analysis windows.

The NSC filter "F" was not working correctly.

The NSC Radiance in angle space plot was not properly scaling by a cosine factor.

The birefringent surface was not using the proper index of refraction for OPD
computations only in some cases.

Improvements were made to the POP pilot beam parameter fit.

A small memory leak in the POP routines has been fixed.

The Field Curvature plot would not properly switch from real to paraxial image
height if the field type was controlled by the MCE operand FLTP.

Some ray trace convergence problems with the NSC biconic hyperhemisphere surface
were fixed.

The NSC Source Diode was not launching rays over the full y angle if the x angle
was small.

The ray trace accuracy on the NSC lenslet 2 object was poor in some cases.

Some facets were missing from the NSC lenslet 1 object if the array elements
were decentered.

变化蛮大的,增加了不少的面型和优化操作数,ZPL语言方面的功能也越来越强了
