This spyware removal test takes a 4 phase approach, a virus and trojan port scan, a standard port scan, a spyware test and a browser security test. The results of the spyware removal test are presented on one page. Here is how it works:

The virus test checks for ports commonly used by trojans and viruses while the standard test scans for services running on the first 1500 ports. Open ports are what hackers look for and usually indicate a security risk. If we find any, we'll let you know!
The Spyware removal test checks for programs that invade your privacy and will provide instructions on how to remove spyware, if found. The browser test will attempt to eject your cd-rom or dvd.

If nothing happens or you don't receive results, then you'll want to temporarily disable the auto Block feature on your firewall. Some firewalls permanently block an IP address if it detects a port scan.
