Title: Production Director (Vice President of manufacturing)
Job Responsibilities :
• Manage the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
• Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment/people efficiency and materials supply.
• Responsible for daily production and manufacturing process and maintenance of the production facility and the development of new production line.
• Plan and administer procedures and budgets; Make budgetary recommendations regarding and controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
•Develop schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas
•Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
•Oversee the plant equipment upkeep.
•Coordinate harmoniously with other departments in ensuring smooth execution of production plan.
•Complies with and supports the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
MUST HAVES:
Must have a work experience in foreign enterprise, specially manufacturing site. VP is responsible for partnering with the regional sales and marketing staffs of the investing partners for the joint venture manufacturing. In addition, strong problem solving and strong technical skills and experiences in the area of ophthalmic lens industry or similar business field. VP must speak Mandarin and English or Korean.
Requirements:
10 years or longer manufacturing experience(after graduate from college)
Manufacturing experience in ophthalmic lenses or similar industry such as semiconductors, electro optics, wafer, electronics, and other optical manufacturing.
Fundamental understanding of advanced, efficient mechanical production and assembly process technology & systems
Make fact based strategic decisions based upon a knowledge of the market, which includes competitors, regulatory and legal environment, claims handling trend, and distribution channel / agent relationships.
Ability to articulate financial results and impact of strategy to senior management.
Ability to balance quantitative analysis with competitor behaviors within the marketplace
Two of the four items are needed:
1. Person has served on a Sales & Operations Planning team in a company with an Integrated Supply Chain function
2. Proven dynamic, senior, management leadership experience demonstrated by leading the transportation and or inventory management of a growing, profitable company or division of a large company in an integrated supply chain role
3. Proven experience and success at the senior management level, demonstrated by leading the production staffs, communication with JV partners and headquarter, negotiation and purchasing of mechanical components and systems in a purchasing role
4. Experience in foreign enterprise manufacturing in China
Education: B.S. or higher in mechanical engineering, industry engineering, business management, and other relevant majors for managing manufacturing.
Report to : CEO of Korean Company
