1. Generally speaking, 100G means the channel spacing between two adjacent channels is 100G Hz.
2. 100GHz is roughly about 0.8nm at 1550nm.The basic equation is C = L*N, where C is the speed of light, L is the wavelength, and N is the frequency. Take the difference, then you would get the formula.
3. 100GHz labelled in a WDM filter is usually not directly related to data speed 10G/s. 100GHz is the WDM channel spacing and 10G/s is the data rate carried in that channel. Because of a 10G/s data modulation, two side bands 100GHz+/-10GHz would be created around the central frequency of that channel.
There are a lot to read and to learn in fiber optics and optical networks. Do not be frustrated. The more you read, the more you learn. You will become an expert.
