The High Performance Galvanometer Scanner S10 is a moving iron galvanometer scanner. Together with the Amplifier Board SSV30, the S10 forms a high precision unit for the deflection and positioning of laser beams.
This unit meets the highest demands for precision and speed over a wide range of applications.
The S10 and the SSV30 are manufactured to the highest quality standards, thus ensuring error-free operation for long term and continuous use.
S10
The precise capacitive position detector exhibits a highly linear behaviour over the full range of deflection and allows integration in a closed position control loop.
Temperature-regulated scanner heating and a feed back line for automatic gain control optimize the drift behaviour and ensure the highest precision and stability.
Axially preloaded precision ball bearings guarantee that the rotor bearing is free of backlash and that friction and hysteresis remain low. The optimal layout of the magnetic circuit leads to very good torque linearity over the full range of deflection.
The rotationally symmetrical mounting flange allows the S10 to be easily integrated into customer-specific single- or multiple-axis deflection units.
SSV30
The SSV30 amplifier board transforms an analog input signal into a proportional angular excursion of the scanner.
The board also provides additional vital functions such as temperature stabilization, automatic gain control and generation of status signals. The board is available with different current and voltage input modes.
The SSV30 board, which forms a closed control loop together with the scanner S10, can be optimally tuned to the specific scanner-mirror configuration.

SCANLAB provides matching mirror substrates with coatings for all common laser wavelengths and power densities. Mirrors and mirror mounts are inertia-optimized.
