Optical Image Technology, Inc. (OIT) is pleased to announce that it will hold its annual User Conference in State College, Pennsylvania, from June 14 through June 16. In conjunction with the User Conference and OIT’s 20th Anniversary, an improved and updated Website was launched on June 6.
The three-day educational conference, which marks the 20th anniversary of the company, will be held on the campus of The Pennsylvania State University, and will include celebratory events at Beaver Stadium’s Letterman’s Lounge and All-Sports Museum. This conference will be attended by customers, partners, consultants and industry experts, including esteemed speakers from the United Kingdom.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Gordon Hoke, consultant for eVisory, from Rochester, Minnesota. Since 1989, Mr. Hoke has helped buyers and sellers of document and content solutions by analyzing and reporting on hundreds of systems. He empowers buyers to find the right solutions to seemingly unmanageable information problems. In addition, he has helped dozens of software vendors define their marketing goals, develop their strategies, and deliver communications that accurately portray their wares. With over 250 publishing credits for articles, white papers, and case studies, Mr. Hoke serves on the Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM) E-DOC Editorial Advisory Board. He will be giving a presentation on June 14 at 11 a.m. entitled “The Myths and Truths of Business Process Management”.
The conference is intended to give DocFinity® software users an in-depth look at what the technology offers. Over 20 educational sessions will give insight on the use of the products, future development plans, and information about the electronic document management industry. The conference also acts as an important networking opportunity for customers and other industry experts as well.
Slated presenters throughout the conference include Scott Blau, co-founder and CEO of Datacap, Tarrytown, NY; Perry Kurlander, Senior Partner with CDMS, Harrisburg, Pa.; Diane Nixon of Addenbrookes NHS Trust from Cambridge, England; Vijay Magon and Paul Negus of OITUK, Warwickshire, England; Nick Smith of Metropolitan Police Service, Scotland Yard, London; speakers from domestic customer sites; and staff from OIT, including Scott Buchart, company president.
On Thursday, June 15, attendees will help to celebrate Optical Image Technology’s 20th anniversary year with local flair at Beaver Stadium’s Letterman’s Lounge and All-Sports Museum. The birthday bash will feature local professional artists, including Richard Benninghoff, magician; Steve Moore, jester; Chip Mock, caricature artist; and, Ken Volz and Tommy Wareham, musicians, as well as a celebratory cake cutting.
“The annual User Conference presents our company with a tremendous opportunity to help further the development of the DocFinity product line. OIT annual conferences in both the United States and the United Kingdom help to mold the direction for the coming year, and we value the open sharing of ideas each year from our customers and partners. It isn’t often that you can gather individuals from different vertical markets to share their insight into the development of software products,” states Scott Buchart, president of Optical Image Technology, Inc.
In conjunction with the company’s growth and 20th anniversary, an improved Website was launched on June 6. OIT’s new Website has a completely new look with added enhancements such as a robust search feature. The look of the new Website is now consistent with the appearance of Optical Image Technology’s corporate image and marketing materials. Perhaps most importantly, the loading time has been shortened due to the implementation of cascading style sheets (CSS) that make each page “lighter” and more user-friendly.
