seek sourcing engineer

Our client is a US new setup company based in Wuxi Singapore Industrial Park. With manufacturing site expanding rapidly in China, the company seeks a dynamic professional to join them as:  



Optical Sourcing Engineer (Based in Wuxi, China)

        Responsibilities
•        Working in conjunction with US sourcing manager, oversee the sourcing program in China, be responsible for finding, developing and managing China supplier base for mechanical components and sub-assemblies
•        Strong technical background in mechanical engineering, ability to read drawings, Bill of Materials, and workmanship standards in English
•        Ability to travel and find new suppliers in China, monitor supplier performance in such areas as quality improvement, lead time reduction and cost reduction
•        Provide both purchase order and contract negotiation support as required over the course of the assignment

        Qualifications        
•        Bachelor degree with mechanical major or above;
•        At least 3 years relevant working experience in foreign companies;
•        Optical related background is preferred
•        Familiarity with international shipping processes is a plus
•        Ability to perform visual, mechanical, dimensional, or functional inspections is preferred
