BATi (Boston Applied Technologies, Inc.)波士顿应用技术公司) 前身是康宁下面的一个分支，在康宁进行全球架构和业务调整时独立成为一家高科技公司。BATi主要是研发电光陶瓷材料，并在此基础上开发出一系列的光无源器件产品，用于光通讯和设备市场。

电光陶瓷是一种透明的陶瓷材料，具有电光系数大，反应速度快的优点。与传统的铌酸锂（LN）和液晶（LC）相比，具有以下优点：
