ColorWheel™

ColorWheel™ is used for any sequential color management in multimedia projection systems suchas Digital Light Processing (DLP™) technology. ColorWheels™ operate at speeds up to 11,000 rpm and are individually balanced to guarantee long-term reliability and minimal noise. The unique assembly process reduces the size and complexity of the ColorWheel™, thereby minimizing weight and costs. Wheels can be supplied in a wide range of diameters.

ColorDisc™ allows for brighter DLP™ projectors with the Sequential Color Recapture (SCR) technology, an invention of Texas Instruments. This technology allows reflected light from each dichroic filter segment to be recycled. The combination of the Unaxis ColorDisc™ and a Unaxis recapture LightTunnel™ provides maximum image performance and a boost in brightness by 30%. Together with other Unaxis products such as hot and cold mirrors, high reflectance SILFLEX-VIS™ fold mirrors, and cold light reflectors, Unaxis is the one stop solution for Color Management needs

LightTunnel™ is used for light integration in projection systems employing DLP™ and LCOS technology. The LightTunnel™ enhances light uniformity with minimum light loss, is 50% shorter than common devices, displays less dust sensitivity and reduces flickering. Its compact design makes it possible to build ultra-portable projection systems. Unaxis Optics applies the patented SILFLEX-VIS™ coating on the internal surfaces of the LightTunnel™. A license agreement with CPL provides economic advantages.

LightGate™ - the total internal reflection (TIR) prism from Unaxis Optics is used to separate the illumination and imaging path in DLP™ based light engines particularly for rear projection TVs. The LightGate™ is a key component for maximum contrast, high light throughput and highly uniform images. It enables on-axis illumination, short back focal length and compact designs. The LightGate™ is characterized by high performance AR coatings, superior quality of blackening and a tightly controlled air gap.

SILFLEX-VIS™ folding mirrors provide a straight forward method for increasing the luminous output of projectors at lowest costs. The proprietary coating design (US Patent No. 5,751,474) provides unique environmental stability, and reflectivity of more than 98% over the entire visible spectrum. Unlike competitive products, SILFLEX-VIS™ produces virtually no color shift and is almost independent of polarization and angle of incidence.
