International Scholarships
for Students from China

2003 Entry

The University of Birmingham has a long tradition of welcoming international students from around the world. As a leading research-led institution, the University attracts students of the highest calibre and is pleased to offer a range of scholarships to reward outstanding academic achievement.

The University is pleased to announce two postgraduate scholarships, worth £3,000 for one year of study, for students who are nationals of the People’s Republic of China, commencing their postgraduate studies at the University of Birmingham in September 2003.

In order to be eligible for consideration, candidates must:

be a national of the P.R.C

be classified as ‘overseas’ for fees purposes

have applied for a place to study on a taught master’s degree programme at the University of Birmingham by 31 May 2003

have obtained an offer of a place on a taught master’s degree programme at the University of Birmingham.

Complete and submit a Scholarship Application Form by the closing deadline of 30 June 2003

not be in receipt of any other University scholarship or a full fees scholarship from any other source

Scholarships will be awarded on academic merit, on the basis of the information provided on the Scholarship Application Form and any supporting documents submitted with the form. Successful candidates will be informed by 31 July 2003.
