We also need to ensure the finished crystals are non-birefringent. Birefringence is often induced during growth, processing, or mounting the crystals. Can you comment on your tests for bi-refringence and also whether you have experience with cuboid or cylindrically cut crystals and which are more likely to exhibit birefringence?
